Wall Sticker Clock NA - 40195 - Silver

Important safety notice for wall clocks in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR)

This is a targeted safety notice for the correct and safe use of wall clocks (battery-powered quartz, mechanical pendulum, digital, with metal/glass/plastic front, silent or chiming). Due to weight, glass parts, small components, batteries, and mounting method, please follow the instructions below.

Basic safety and handling principles

• Keep out of reach of children: Small parts, battery covers, and glass elements pose choking and cutting hazards; the product is not a toy.
• Secure mounting: Check the clock’s weight and wall type before hanging; use appropriate plugs, screws, or hooks according to the material (concrete, brick, drywall).
• Stability and height: Hang out of reach of children and pets and away from busy passageways; protect from vibrations and drafts.
• Glass and sharp edges: If the glass breaks, immediately take down the clock; risk of cuts and falling parts.

Proper and safe use

• Assembly according to instructions: Follow the recommended angle/type of hanger; do not overload a single clip if the manufacturer requires multi-point attachment.
• Batteries and power: Insert with correct polarity; do not use damaged or mixed batteries. Use rechargeable batteries only if recommended. Always secure the battery cover.
• Mechanical/pendulum models: When setting the hands, move only forward and gently; attach the pendulum as instructed to prevent it from falling off.
• Magnetic elements: Keep clocks with magnetic mounts or decorations away from payment cards and sensitive electronics; persons with implants should maintain the recommended distance.
• Noise and chiming: If sensitive to noise, choose a “silent/sweep” mechanism or disable chiming at night if the product allows.

Cleaning, maintenance, and storage

• Cleaning: Wipe dust with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth; do not spray cleaning agents directly. Keep electronics and battery compartment dry.
• Maintenance: Regularly check mounting firmness, battery condition (replace immediately if leaking), and time accuracy; consider professional servicing for mechanical models.
• Storage and transport: Remove batteries before moving, dismantle the pendulum, and pack the clock in shockproof packaging.

Specific health warnings

• Allergies and sensitive skin: Some paints, adhesives, and metals may cause reactions during handling; wear gloves during assembly if sensitive.
• Safe work at height: Use a stable ladder and eye protection when drilling and hanging; work should be done out of reach of children and animals.

Disposal

• Waste sorting: Hand in batteries/accumulators at collection points; dispose of electronic/digital clocks as electronic waste; sort glass and metals according to local regulations.

Incidents and contact

• In case of an incident (clock fall, glass cut, irritation from leaking battery), immediately stop use, secure the area, and seek medical help if needed. Keep the product and proof of purchase for complaint handling.
