Children's Knee Socks - Brown / M

Important Safety Notice for Socks in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on General Product Safety (GPSR)

This is a targeted safety notice for the proper and safe use of socks (cotton, wool/thermal, sports/compression, with anti-slip treatment, seamless, functional with synthetic fibers). Since they are in direct contact with the skin, may have elastic and anti-slip elements, and various compression thicknesses, please follow the instructions below.

Basic Safety and Handling Principles

• Correct size and pressure: Choose a size that does not constrict toes or the instep; overly tight cuffs can restrict blood circulation.
• Material integrity: Check before wearing for holes, torn seams, or detached anti-slip dots; do not use damaged products.
• Flammability: Fabrics are flammable; keep away from open flames, sparks, and hot surfaces.
• Anti-slip elements: Effectiveness is limited to clean and dry floors; do not rely solely on anti-slip on wet/oily surfaces.

Proper and Safe Use

• Activities and sports: Use functional models with ventilation and reinforcement for running, hiking, or cycling; choose an appropriate compression class for compression wear and do not wear for prolonged periods without breaks.
• Footwear and socks: Wear with suitable footwear; walking only in socks on smooth floors may lead to slipping.
• Children and seniors: Prefer models with anti-slip treatment on the sole when walking around the house.
• Moisture and sweat: Replace wet socks as soon as possible after intense activity to prevent skin irritation and blister formation.

Cleaning, Maintenance, and Storage

• Washing: Wash according to the label, inside out, at recommended temperatures; do not use bleach. Fabric softener may reduce breathability and absorbency of functional fibers.
• Drying: Air dry freely; avoid direct heat and tumble drying for models with elastane/glued zones.
• Maintenance: Discard damaged elastic cuffs and anti-slip dots; frayed seams can cause chafing.
• Storage: Store dry and ventilated; prolonged moisture promotes mold and odors.

Specific Health Warnings

• Allergies and sensitive skin: Some dyes, latex in elastic bands, wool, or adhesives may cause reactions; discontinue use if redness, itching, or rash occurs.
• Circulation and neuropathy: Persons with circulation disorders or diabetes should choose non-constricting cuffs and regularly check the skin of their feet.
• Hygiene: Change socks daily or after each activity; increase frequency of changing and washing if odor or skin irritation occurs.

Disposal

• Sorted waste: Deliver worn-out socks to textile collection points if available; otherwise dispose of according to local regulations.

Incidents and Contact

• In case of an incident (slip, blisters, allergic reaction, circulation disorder from tight cuffs), immediately discontinue use and seek medical assistance if necessary. Keep the product and proof of purchase for complaint processing.
