Important Safety Notice for Women's Belts in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on General Product Safety (GPSR)

This is a targeted safety notice for the proper and safe use of women's belts (leather, textile, synthetic, elastic, with buckle/frame buckle, automatic lock, double ring, lace-up corset, magnetic, decorated). Since they may contain small parts, metal and magnetic elements, sharp buckle edges, and strong pressure in the abdomen/waist area, please follow the instructions below.

Basic Safety and Handling Principles

• Keep out of reach of children: Buckles, rivets, decorations, and magnets pose a choking hazard; the product is not a toy.
• Check before use: Inspect the buckle, rivets, holes, seams, and edges; do not use a damaged or cracked belt.
• Pinching and scratches: Be careful not to pinch skin or catch clothing when fastening; avoid sharp buckle edges.
• Magnetic parts: Keep away from payment cards and sensitive electronics; persons with implanted devices should maintain a safe distance.
• Snagging and injuries: Do not wear belts with laces/chains when working with machinery, on escalators, or during sports.

Proper and Safe Use

• Appropriate tightening: The belt must not restrict breathing or blood circulation; do not use prolonged strong tightening (especially corset/wide models).
• Position and purpose: Wear with appropriate clothing type; do not use as a towing/lifting aid or harness.
• Pregnancy and sensitive periods: Choose soft and looser models; avoid strong compression in the abdomen area.
• Drivers and seat belts: Massive buckles may increase belt pressure; adjust so the buckle does not interfere with the vehicle’s belt.

Cleaning, Maintenance, and Storage

• Leather: Clean dry or with a slightly damp cloth; condition regularly; do not immerse in water or dry on a radiator.
• Textile/synthetic/elastic: Clean according to the label; avoid aggressive cleaners and high temperatures that may damage elastane/glued joints.
• Metal parts: Wipe buckles dry after contact with sweat/salt water to prevent corrosion and staining of clothing.
• Storage: Hang or lay flat, away from direct sunlight and moisture; avoid sharp bending that causes cracks.

Specific Health Warnings

• Allergies and sensitive skin: Some metals (e.g., nickel), dyes, and leather agents may cause reactions; if redness or itching occurs, remove the belt.
• Pressure and abrasions: For back/abdomen pain, abrasions, or pressure marks, loosen or replace the belt with a softer/wider model.

Disposal

• Sorted waste: Separate metal buckles for metal recycling; hand over leather and textile parts to textile collection according to local regulations. Wrap magnets and sharp parts to prevent risk.

Incidents and Contact

• In case of an incident (allergic reaction, pinching injury, fall due to snagging), stop using the product immediately. Keep the product and proof of purchase for complaint handling.
