BL-37891 Blue light blocking glasses - Gray / Transparent

Important safety notice for glasses and cases in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR)

This is a targeted safety notice for the correct and safe use of glasses and cases (prescription, sunglasses, computer glasses, and protective cases). Since they contain fragile lenses, small parts, and often magnetic closures, please follow the instructions below to avoid injuries and damage.

Basic safety and handling principles

• Keep out of reach of children: There is a risk of injury from broken glass and swallowing small parts such as screws or nose pads. The product is not a toy.
• Safe putting on and folding: Handle with both hands, do not bend the temples with excessive force, and do not sit on the glasses. When closing the case, be careful to avoid pinching your fingers.
• Magnetic case closure: Keep away from payment cards and sensitive electronics.
• Heat and direct sunlight: Do not leave glasses or cases on the car dashboard or near heat sources. High temperatures can cause frame deformation and damage to lens coatings.

Proper and safe use

• Use as intended: Prescription glasses are for vision correction according to prescription; sunglasses reduce glare and may protect against UV radiation as described.
• Driving: Do not use dark-tinted glasses in low visibility. Polarized lenses may make it difficult to read some displays and instruments.
• Not personal protective equipment (PPE): Regular glasses do not replace certified protective equipment. Use specific protective glasses as directed by the manufacturer when working with machinery and chemicals.
• Safe storage: When not wearing glasses, always place them in the case and store in a stable place away from table edges and out of reach of animals.

Cleaning, maintenance, and storage

• Cleaning lenses: Remove dust with a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive agents and aggressive cleaners that can damage surface coatings.
• Frame maintenance: Regularly check hinge screws and nose pads; have loose parts tightened or repaired by a professional. After contact with salt or sweat, rinse glasses with clean water and dry.
• Storage: Store in a clean, dry case. Keep cases dry and clean, regularly removing dust from the interior.

Specific health warnings

• UV and blue light: Rely only on properties stated by the manufacturer. If you experience eye fatigue or headaches, discontinue use and consult a specialist if necessary.
• Allergies and sensitive skin: Some metals and coatings may cause reactions. If irritation occurs, stop using the product and contact a doctor.
• Damaged glasses: Cracked or heavily scratched lenses impair vision and increase the risk of accidents. Do not use damaged glasses.

Disposal

• Safe disposal: Carefully wrap broken glass and dispose of according to local regulations. Sort metal and plastic parts; dispose of cases according to material.

Incidents and contact

• In case of an incident or injury, stop using the product immediately. Keep the product and proof of purchase for complaint processing.
